Caramelized Bananas

Method

Brownies

1

Bake the Brownies

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool and cut into chunks.

Caramelized Bananas

2

Caramelize the Bananas

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Slice the bananas and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembly

3

Assemble the Sundae

In a serving dish, layer brownie chunks, a scoop of chocolate ice cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and top with caramelized bananas. Drizzle with dulce de leche, dark chocolate sauce, and butterscotch sauce. Add a generous dollop of whipped cream and finish with glazed cherries on top. Serve immediately.
