Baby Back Ribs

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and has a nice smoky flavor.

  3. 3

Make the Root Beer BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine root beer, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, or until slightly thickened.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Ribs

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with the root beer BBQ sauce every 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the smoker, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut into portions. Serve with french fries and corn on the cob.
