Pizza Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- 2
Roll out the Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a round shape, about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan or a pizza peel if using a stone.
- 3
Add Sauce
Spread the San Marzano tomato sauce evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 4
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- 5
Add Pepperoni
Arrange the hand-sliced pepperoni over the cheese, covering as much of the surface as desired.
- 6
Season
Drizzle olive oil over the top and sprinkle with dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- 7
Bake the Pizza
Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- 8
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
