Chicken Parmigiana Ingredients
Method
Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the bread crumb mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a baking dish.
- 4
Add Marinara and Cheese
Pour marinara sauce over the fried chicken breasts. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Bake
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 6
Cook the Linguini
While the chicken is baking, cook the linguini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 7
Serve
Serve the chicken parmigiana hot over a bed of linguini marinara. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
