Method
Prep
- 1
Chill the copper mug or highball glass if desired by placing it in the freezer for a few minutes or filling it with ice while you gather ingredients.
- 2
Cut a lime into wedges or wheels for juice and garnish.
Build the Cocktail
- 3
Add ice
Fill the chilled copper mug or highball glass about two-thirds full with cubed ice (approximately 1 cup).
- 4
Measure and pour vodka
Using a jigger, measure 2 oz of Stoli Vodka and pour it over the ice.
- 5
Add lime juice
Measure 1/2 oz (about half a standard jigger) of fresh lime juice and add it to the glass.
- 6
Top with ginger beer
Slowly pour 4 oz of chilled ginger beer into the mug, filling to near the top and preserving carbonation.
- 7
Stir gently
Using a bar spoon, give the drink 2–3 gentle stirs to combine vodka, lime, and ginger beer without flattening the ginger beer.
Garnish & Serve
- 8
Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel on the rim and, if desired, slap a mint sprig between your hands and place it on top to release aroma.
- 9
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Provide a straw if preferred.
