Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Add the cooked patties, onion slices, and pickle slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
