Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging while cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash and slice the tomato and onion. Tear the lettuce leaf into pieces that will fit on the bun.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On each bottom bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty, slices of tomato, and onion. Add ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
