Salad Ingredients
Caesar Dressing
Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or grit. Shake off excess water and dry using a salad spinner or by patting with paper towels.
- 2
Chop the Lettuce
Chop the dried romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
- 3
Add Croutons and Cheese
Sprinkle the croutons and grated Parmesan cheese over the chopped lettuce in the bowl.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic (from one clove), Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
- 5
Taste and Adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed. If the dressing is too thick, add a teaspoon of water to thin it out to your desired consistency.
Final Assembly
- 6
Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the Caesar dressing over the salad mixture of lettuce, croutons, and cheese. Toss gently with salad tongs or clean hands until the salad is evenly coated with the dressing.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately in individual salad bowls, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
