Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. Add the melted butter, eggs, and salt. Gradually stir in the flour until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- 5
- 6
Form the Rolls
Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 9 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking pan.
- 7
Second Rise
Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- 8
Bake the Buns
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9
Make the Frosting
While the buns are baking, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 10
Frost and Serve
Once the buns are out of the oven and slightly cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting over the top. Serve warm.
