Mix the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gradually stir in the buttermilk until a smooth batter forms.

Combine Ingredients
Fold the sautéed onions into the batter until evenly coated.

Shape and Fry
Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, forming small loaves. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Allow the loaf to cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
