Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm (not hot). Add the milk mixture and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.

  4. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 1/4 inch thick). Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough.

  5. 5

    Form the Buns

Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the baking dish with a towel and let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Bake the Buns

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. 8

    Make the Frosting

While the buns are baking, mix together the softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  9. 9

    Frost and Serve

Once the buns are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before spreading the cream cheese frosting on top. Serve warm.
