Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the bone-in rib eye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then generously season with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Heat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill to high heat or place a cast-iron skillet over high heat on the stove. Allow it to get very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the rib eye on the grill or skillet. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Herbs

In the last minute of cooking, add butter and fresh rosemary on top of the steak. Baste the steak with the melted butter for extra flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
