Steak Preparation

Marinate the Steak
In a large bowl, combine the red wine, beef broth, rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well mixed. Place the rib-eye steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

Cook the Steak
Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature (about 30 minutes). Sear the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Mash the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Cook the Asparagus
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the asparagus. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from heat.
