Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix meatloaf ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onion and garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form the meatloaf
Form half of the meat mixture into a loaf shape in the center of a baking dish. Create a well in the center and fill it with shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Cover the cheese with the remaining meat mixture, sealing the edges.

Bake the meatloaf
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Drain and mash
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Serve the meatloaf slices with a generous portion of creamy mashed potatoes on the side.
