Steak Preparation

Season the Steak
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over both sides and season generously with salt and black pepper.

Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Drain and Dry the Potatoes
After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

Season and Bake
In a large bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, minced garlic, and salt. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Garnish and Serve
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot alongside the steak.
