Seafood and Accompaniments

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

Thoroughly rinse all seafood under cold running water. Scrub the mussels to remove any dirt or grit.

  2. 2

    Cook Mussels and King Crab

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the mussels and cook for 5-7 minutes until they open. For the king crab, steam or boil for 5-10 minutes until heated through.

  3. 3

    Cook Lobster

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the whole lobster and cook for 8-10 minutes until the shell turns bright red. Remove and let cool.

  4. 4

    Shuck Oysters

Carefully shuck the oysters and place them on a bed of ice.

  5. 5

    Arrange the Platter

On a large serving platter, arrange the cocktail shrimp, shucked oysters, mussels, king crab, and lobster. Add small bowls for caviar, cocktail sauce, and hot sauce.

  6. 6

    Serve with Garnishes

Garnish with lemon wedges and sprinkle with sea salt. Serve immediately.
