Directions
- 1
Prepare the Pecans
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the pecans with olive oil, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are golden and aromatic.
- 2
Cook the Green Beans
While the pecans are roasting, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh green beans and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until they are tender but still crisp. Drain the beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
- 3
Combine and Serve
Once the pecans are roasted and the green beans are cooled, drain the beans from the ice water and transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle the green beans with lemon juice, sprinkle with the spiced pecans, and toss gently to combine. Serve warm.
