Chicken Satays

Spicy Peanut Sauce

Method

Preparing the Chicken Satays

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare Skewers

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. After marinating the chicken, thread the chicken strips onto the skewers.

  3. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken satays for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.

Making the Spicy Peanut Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and salt. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.

  2. 5

    Cook the Sauce

Continue to cook the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until heated through and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
