Chicken Satays

Spicy Peanut Sauce

Method

Preparing Chicken Satays

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Skewers

If using wooden or bamboo skewers, soak them in water for about 15 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  3. 3

    Skewer the Chicken

After marinating, thread the chicken strips onto the skewers, ensuring they are evenly spaced.

Making Spicy Peanut Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, Sriracha sauce, and water until smooth. Adjust salt to taste.

  2. 5

    Heat the Sauce

Transfer the sauce to a small saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring occasionally until warmed through. Do not boil.

Grilling the Satays

  1. 6

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Grill the Chicken Satays

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove the satays from the grill and serve hot with the spicy peanut sauce on the side for dipping.
