Cocktail Base

Mixer & Carbonation

Method

Cocktail Prep

  1. 1

    Build the Mix

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in dark rum, spiced rum, green melon liqueur, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, and simple syrup. Secure the shaker lid.

  2. 2

    Shake

Vigorously shake for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is chilled and slightly frosty. This chills and combines the layered flavors.

Serve & Finish

  1. 3

Fill a highball or large rocks glass with crushed ice (about ¾ full). Strain the shaken mixture over the crushed ice, pouring to create a slightly layered green-blue appearance.

  2. 4

Top gently with club soda or lemon-lime soda (about 2 oz) to add effervescence. Spoon gently if you want to preserve some layering.

  3. 5

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim, a candied or maraschino cherry skewered on a cocktail pick, and place one edible candy eyeball or a sprinkle of green sugar on top of the crushed ice for a playful 'monster' presentation.

  4. 6

Serve with a straw and a napkin. Advise guests to stir slightly before drinking to blend flavors, or sip slowly to enjoy the layered look then mix.
