Ribeye Steak Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure to coat them evenly.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or a heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) over high heat for about 5-7 minutes until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steaks

Place the steaks on the hot grill or pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side. Adjust the time for your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Flavor

During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary sprigs to the pan or grill for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from heat and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve immediately, optionally garnished with additional rosemary.
