Roasting the Prime Rib
Roast the prime rib in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 hours, or until it reaches your desired doneness (130°F for medium-rare).
- 3
Prepare the Au Jus
In a saucepan, heat the beef broth over medium heat. Once the prime rib is done, add the pan juices to the broth and simmer for a few minutes. Strain the mixture to make a smooth au jus.

Serve the Mashed Potatoes
Prepare your mashed potatoes according to your favorite recipe or use pre-made ones. Serve hot alongside the prime rib.

Plating the Dish
Slice the prime rib and serve it with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a side of au jus for dipping. Start your meal with a house or Caesar salad.
