Peach Cobbler Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peaches

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, pit, and slice the peaches. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.

  3. 3

    Melt the Butter

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, melt the butter in the preheated oven. Once melted, pour the batter over the butter—do not stir.

  4. 4

    Add the Peaches

Spoon the peach mixture over the batter. Again, do not stir.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Serve

Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
