Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the New York strip steak with Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Let it rest for 5 minutes after grilling.

  3. 3

    Make the Red Wine Demi

In a saucepan, combine red wine and beef broth. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer until it thickens slightly, about 15-20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Crab Whipped Potatoes

Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash them. In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, heavy cream, crab meat, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Asparagus

Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill or roast in the oven until tender, about 8-10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Make the Old Bay Butter

Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in Old Bay seasoning. Remove from heat.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak and place it on a plate. Top with Old Bay butter, alongside crab whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus. Drizzle red wine demi over the steak.
