Shrimp and Sauce

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt, mixing well.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Stuffed Tomatoes

Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop out the insides. In a bowl, mix diced mozzarella, chopped basil, and mushrooms. Stuff this mixture into each tomato.

  4. 4

    Make Tempura Batter

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add ice-cold water to create a smooth batter.

  5. 5

    Fry the Stuffed Tomatoes

Dip each stuffed tomato into the tempura batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place them in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the sautéed shrimp on a plate, topped with the sauce, alongside the fried stuffed tomatoes.
