Method

Prepare the Fish

  1. 1

    Season and Cook Rockfish

Season the rockfish fillets with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make the Lemon Cream Sauce

  1. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce for about 3-4 minutes. Stir in chopped parsley before serving.

Prepare Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Cook and Mash Potatoes

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return potatoes to the pot. Add butter, milk, and salt. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Steam the Broccoli

  1. 4

    Steam Broccoli

In a steamer basket over boiling water, steam the broccoli florets for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender. Season with a pinch of salt.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, serve a portion of the mashed potatoes, top with the rockfish, drizzle the lemon cream sauce over the fish, and add a side of steamed broccoli.
