Crawfish Boil Ingredients

Method

Crawfish Boil Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pot

In a large pot, bring 4 gallons of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Add Seasoning and Ingredients

Once boiling, add 1 cup of crawfish boil seasoning, 2 tablespoons of salt, 3 bay leaves, and the whole garlic cloves. Squeeze in the juice of the lemons and drop them into the pot.

  3. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

Add the red bliss potatoes to the pot and cook for about 15 minutes until they start to soften.

  4. 4

    Add the Corn

Add the yellow corn and continue to boil for another 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cook the Crawfish

Finally, add the whole crawfish to the pot and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until they turn bright red and are fully cooked.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Turn off the heat and let the boil sit for 10 minutes. Then drain the pot and serve the crawfish, potatoes, and corn on a large platter with melted drawn butter on the side.
