Cajun Pizza Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning. Dice the andouille sausage, bell peppers, and onion.
- 2
Cook the Chicken and Sausage
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest. In the same skillet, add the andouille sausage and sauté until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Add bell peppers and onions, cooking until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
- 3
Make the Garlic Cream Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the minced garlic with heavy cream and the remaining Creole seasoning. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until warmed and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
- 4
Assemble the Pizza
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Place it on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the garlic cream sauce evenly over the dough. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top along with the sautéed sausage, bell peppers, and onions. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- 5
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- 6
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
