Cheesecake Directions
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Bake the Crust
Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- 3
Prepare the Cheesecake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each addition.
- 4
Combine and Bake
Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and a slight jiggle remains.
- 5
Cool and Refrigerate
Remove from the oven and let the cheesecake cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 6
Add Toppings
Before serving, top the cheesecake with chopped walnuts and drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
