Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- 3
Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
- 4
Combine and Bake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- 5
Cool and Refrigerate
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 6
Prepare the Strawberries
Slice fresh strawberries and arrange them on top of the chilled cheesecake before serving.
