Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and white wine. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to soften and the alcohol to cook off.

Finish with Butter and Green Onions
Reduce the heat to low, add the butter, and stir until melted and combined. Finally, add the sliced green onions and mix well. Cook for another minute.

Serve the shrimp scampi warm over pasta or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
