Cheesecake Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust.
- 2
Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
- 3
Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- 4
Chill
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set.
