Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
- 2
Make the filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and mix until combined. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the flour and mix until just combined.
- 3
Bake the cheesecake
Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- 4
Chill and serve
After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Once chilled, remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve.
