Method
Sandwich Preparation
- 1
Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out the slices of bread. Spread mayonnaise or mustard on one slice. Layer the deli meats, cheese, lettuce, and tomato on top. Place the other slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.
- 2
Cut the Sandwich
Slice the sandwich in half diagonally and set aside.
Salad Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Salad
If you're making a Caesar salad, toss the greens with Parmesan cheese and croutons, and add Caesar dressing to taste. For mesclun greens, you can simply serve them fresh with your choice of dressing.
Soup Preparation
- 4
Heat the Soup
If using store-bought tomato-basil soup, heat it in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. For homemade soup, reheat as necessary.
