Sorbet Ingredients

Method

Sorbet Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash the mixed forest fruits thoroughly under cold water. Remove any stems or leaves and pat them dry with a clean towel.

  2. 2

    Make the Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. 3

    Blend the Ingredients

In a blender or food processor, combine the washed forest fruits, lemon juice, and cooled syrup. Blend until smooth.

  4. 4

    Strain (Optional)

If you prefer a smoother sorbet, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds and pulp.

  5. 5

    Freeze the Mixture

Transfer the fruit mixture to a shallow container and freeze for about 4-6 hours, or until solid.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once frozen, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop into bowls and enjoy!
