Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Broth
In a saucepan, heat the chicken or vegetable broth over medium heat. Keep it warm but not boiling.
- 2
Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the red onions and jalapeños, sautéing until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the red bell pepper and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
- 3
Toast the Rice
Stir in the Arborio rice and cook for 2-3 minutes until the rice is slightly translucent.
- 4
Add Broth Gradually
Begin adding the warm broth, one ladle at a time, stirring frequently. Allow the rice to absorb most of the liquid before adding more broth. Continue this process for about 18-20 minutes.
- 5
Incorporate Crabmeat
When the rice is creamy and al dente, gently fold in the crabmeat, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and creamy.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
