Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Broth
In a saucepan, heat the vegetable broth over medium heat and keep it warm.
- 2
Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the red onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3
Add Bell Pepper and Rice
Stir in the green bell pepper and Arborio rice, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the rice is lightly toasted.
- 4
Add Broth Gradually
Pour in one ladle of the warm vegetable broth, stirring continuously until the liquid is absorbed. Repeat this process, adding broth one ladle at a time, allowing the rice to absorb the liquid before adding more, for about 18-20 minutes.
- 5
Incorporate Crabmeat and Tomatoes
Once the rice is creamy and al dente, gently fold in the crabmeat, diced heirloom tomatoes, and chopped basil. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 6
Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy your crab risotto hot!
