Preparation
- 1
Make the Cheesecake Base
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
- 2
Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, sour cream, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder. Mix until fully combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 3
Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for one hour.
- 4
Cool and Chill
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 5
Add Toppings
Before serving, top the cheesecake with sliced bananas and chocolate shavings or chips.
