Pasta and Sauce
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the campanelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Add Garlic and Beef
Stir in the minced garlic and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Incorporate Tomatoes and Wine
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Combine with Pasta
Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked campanelle pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
