Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Redfish

Season the redfish fillets with salt and black pepper. Dredge each fillet in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with bread crumbs. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Fry the Redfish

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded redfish fillets. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  3. 3

    Make the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water for about 15-20 minutes or until tender. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter and milk, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt to taste.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and steam or boil them for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with salt.

  5. 5

    Make the Mostarda Cream

In a small saucepan, combine the mostarda and heavy cream. Heat over low heat, stirring until well combined and warmed through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the fried redfish alongside a scoop of mashed potatoes and a serving of green beans. Drizzle the mostarda cream over the fish and serve immediately.
