Ingredients for Bolognese Risotto
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until the beef is browned.
- 2
Add Tomatoes and Simmer
Stir in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3
Cook the Risotto
In a separate large pot, heat butter over medium heat. Add Arborio rice, stirring to coat the grains. Pour in the white wine and cook until absorbed.
- 4
Add Broth Gradually
Start adding the beef broth, one ladle at a time, stirring frequently. Wait until the liquid is absorbed before adding more broth. This should take about 18-20 minutes until the rice is creamy and al dente.
- 5
Finish the Risotto
Remove the risotto from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- 6
Combine and Serve
Serve the creamy risotto topped with the rich Bolognese sauce and garnish with fresh basil.
