Cheesecake Layer

Method

Cheesecake Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheesecake Layer

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Then, add the sour cream and beat until smooth. Finally, add the eggs one at a time, mixing until just combined.

  2. 2

    Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake mixture into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.

  3. 3

    Cool and Chill

After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Banana Split

Once the cheesecake is chilled, slice bananas and layer them on top. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and add whipped cream. Top with maraschino cherries and nuts if desired.
