Making the Batter

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter and dark chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Combine Eggs and Sugar
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and slightly thickened.

Mix the Batter
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

Add Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined.

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake the Fondants
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center remains soft.
Serving

Cool and Serve
Let the fondants cool for 1 minute before carefully inverting them onto plates. Dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm with fresh berries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
