Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Select the Cheeses

Choose a variety of cheeses for the platter. Cut the Cheddar cheese into cubes, slice the Brie cheese into wedges, crumble the Gorgonzola cheese, and form the Goat cheese into small rounds.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Crackers

Open the package of assorted crackers. If desired, arrange them on the platter in a decorative manner.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash the grapes and place them in a small bowl. Slice the apple into thin wedges and arrange them alongside the grapes. Lastly, place the dried apricots in a small dish to add to the platter.

  4. 4

    Optional Nuts

If using, place the almonds and walnuts in small bowls or scatter them around the cheese platter for added texture.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Arrange the Platter

On a large serving board or platter, begin by placing the cheeses in different sections. Make sure to leave enough space for the crackers and fruits. Arrange the crackers in a fan shape around the cheeses.

  2. 6

    Add Fruits and Nuts

Place the prepared grapes, apple slices, and dried apricots around the cheeses and crackers. If using nuts, scatter them around the platter for a beautiful presentation.

  3. 7

    Final Touches

Consider adding small cheese knives and toothpicks for serving. Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for a pop of color.
