Grilled Striploin

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Place the striploin steaks in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the meat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steaks from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Grill the steaks for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Turnips

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and sauté the sliced Hakurei turnips for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender. Add balsamic vinegar and cook for an additional minute, stirring to combine.

  5. 5

    Serve

On a serving platter, arrange a bed of wild arugula. Top with the sliced grilled striploin and sautéed turnips. Drizzle any remaining balsamic vinegar over the dish and serve immediately.
