Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Sear the Steak

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the Angus striploin steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Sear each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

Whipped Potatoes

  1. 2

    Make the Whipped Potatoes

Peel and chop the Russet potatoes. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Crispy Parsnips

  1. 3

    Prepare Crispy Parsnips

Peel and slice the parsnips into thin strips. Toss with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast at 425°F (220°C) for about 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.

Cipollini Onions

  1. 4

    Cook Cipollini Onions

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add cipollini onions and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
