Steak

Smokey Mustard Dip

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the mixture onto the hanger steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the French Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thick fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the soaked potatoes in batches for about 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

Making the Smokey Mustard Dip

  1. 5

    Mix the Dip

In a small bowl, combine Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, honey, and mayonnaise. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
