Method

Preparing the Ingredients

1

Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil. Once heated, add the Pabst onions, banana peppers, and green peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Remove from heat and set aside.

2

Cook the Shaved Beef

In the same skillet, add the shaved beef and cook over medium-high heat. Stir frequently until the beef is browned and cooked through, approximately 5-6 minutes.

Assembling the Sandwich

3

Toast the Hoagie Buns

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the hoagie buns on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes until lightly golden.

4

Layer the Sandwich

Once the buns are toasted, place a generous portion of the cooked shaved beef on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the sautéed vegetables and a slice of Swiss cheese.

5

Drizzle with Alabama White Sauce

Drizzle a tablespoon of Alabama white sauce over the cheese on each sandwich. Close the sandwiches with the top half of the hoagie buns.

Serving with Au Jus

6

Prepare the Au Jus

In a small saucepan, heat the beef broth over medium heat until simmering. Serve this alongside the sandwiches for dipping.
