Fried Rice

Method

Fried Rice Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic, chopped green onions, diced carrots, and frozen peas. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.

  2. 2

    Add Rice and Soy Sauce

Add the cooked jasmine rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs

Push the rice mixture to one side of the skillet. Pour the beaten eggs into the empty side and scramble until fully cooked. Mix the eggs into the rice.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook Shrimp

In another skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Drizzle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Serve

Spoon the fried rice onto plates and top with the sautéed shrimp. Garnish with additional chopped green onions if desired.
