Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle both sides of the top sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to enhance flavor.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.

Make Champagne Herb Butter

  1. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together softened unsalted butter, champagne, chopped parsley, chopped chives, and minced garlic until well combined.

  2. 4

    Chill Butter

Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap, roll into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm.

Prepare Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 5

    Cook Vegetables

In a pot of boiling water, add asparagus, sliced carrots, and sliced red bell pepper. Blanch for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Side Options

  1. 6

    Choose Your Side

Select one of the side options: mashed potatoes, steamed rice, veggie quinoa, or elote pasta salad. Prepare according to package instructions or your preferred recipe.

Serve

  1. 7

    Plate the Meal

Slice the rested steak and place it on a plate. Top with a slice of champagne herb butter. Arrange the seasonal vegetables and your chosen side next to the steak. Enjoy your top sirloin steak dinner!
